The Iqamah app · iPhone, iPad, Mac and Android

Prayer and iqamah times

Open the app and the day is in front of you: which prayer you are in, how long is left, and when your masjid will pray each salah together.

Home

Your day, on a ring

Home is the medallion. Its ring is the whole day: midnight at the foot, noon at the top, the solid arc showing how much of the day has passed. Each dot is a prayer. The heart names the prayer you are in, in Arabic and in your language, and counts down to the end of its time.

Azaan and iqamah, side by side

  • Below the medallion, today's table shows the azaan and iqamah time for every salah, with sunrise between Fajr and Dhuhr.
  • One switch chooses between the azaan times your masjid publishes and the times calculated for where you are.
  • Iqamah times come straight from the masjid, shown exactly as they publish them.
  • Jumu'ah lists every session your masjid holds, with the khateeb and the hall.
  • The Hijri date and your location sit at the top of the screen.

12 calculation methods

ISNA, Muslim World League, Umm al-Qura, Karachi, Egypt, Diyanet, MUIS, JAKIM and more, with Shafi'i or Hanafi Asr.

Your own adjustments

Nudge any prayer by a few minutes, and set custom Fajr and Isha angles where your community follows its own.

Pinned shortcuts

Up to four favourites from Discover sit under the prayer table: Quran, Qibla, Halaqah, Tasbih or whatever you open most.

Adhan notifications

The adhan, on time

Each prayer can alert you in one of four ways: off, silent, a chime, or the adhan itself. A reminder can come up to an hour before, so you have time to make wudu and get to the masjid.

  • Tap an adhan alert to hear the full adhan, not just a clip.
  • Choose the voice from four muezzins, including Mustafa Özcan Güneşdoğdu and Mishary Alafasy.
  • Fajr gets its own adhan, with ٱلصَّلَاةُ خَيْرٌ مِنَ ٱلنَّوْمِ, "prayer is better than sleep".
  • Every choice is per prayer, in Settings › Prayer & Alerts.

Qibla

Qibla

The compass wears the same ornament as the medallion. Hold the phone flat and turn until the needle sits at the top: the bearing beneath it is the direction to the Kaaba from where you stand, and the distance to it is shown too.

  • Works offline once your location is known.
  • Also on the map, and on iPhone as a Home Screen and Lock Screen widget.

Masajid

Masajid, near and far

More than 8,800 masajid around the world, each with its address, contact details and, where the masjid publishes them, its iqamah and Jumu'ah times.

Explore

The map, anywhere in the world

The Explore tab is a map of masajid. Look anywhere, your own street, another city or the other side of the world, and the masajid there appear the moment the map stops moving. To stay readable it shows twenty at a time; zoom in and more appear.

  • Swipe the cards along the bottom to move between masajid, each with its next prayer and distance.
  • Show only masajid with iqamah times, your favourites or your Home masjid.
  • A satellite view, and a small compass in the corner that opens the Qibla.

  • Search by name or in another city, and widen the search from nearby to worldwide.
  • Open a masjid for any day's timetable, its address, website and phone number, and directions in the maps app you prefer. Swipe sideways to the next masjid.
  • Star the masajid you pray at, and set the one you go to most as Home. Its times then lead the Home screen.

Listen, even with the screen locked

Five reciters can recite any surah aloud. Recitation carries on when your phone locks, with play, pause and skip on the Lock Screen and in notifications.

Display mode

A display for the desk

Turn your phone or tablet sideways on Home and it becomes a prayer display: the medallion, today's times, your masjid's board, an ayah and a hadith, one at a time. Tap the lock to keep it, and the screen stays on with the full adhan at every prayer. It is a good use for an old tablet on a shelf at home or at the masjid entrance.

Apple Watch

Iqamah on your wrist

On Apple Watch, Iqamah has four pages: today's prayers, the Daily Reflection, the Qibla and a tasbih. It works the times out itself, so it carries on, and still alerts you, when your phone is not nearby.

Complications for your watch face

  • A countdown to the next prayer, and your masjid's next iqamah.
  • The Hijri date and the Qibla.
  • The time for Tahajjud, and suhoor and iftar when you fast.

Our promise

Free. No ads. Ever.

Iqamah is free to use, and free for every masjid. There are no paid tiers and no ads, not on masjid websites, not on the prayer-times widget, not on Iqamah TV, and not in anything to do with prayer times and masajid in the app.

Where we are going

Built for a million masajid

Today Iqamah carries more than 8,800 masajid. It is built to carry every masjid in the world: a million masajid, each with its own free website, its times in the app, on the watch and on the TV in its hall, and its community a tap away. It is built to grow that far and still cost a masjid nothing, so that no masjid is too small to be found and none is asked to pay.

If you run a masjid, the best way to help is to make its free website and keep its times current. If you pray at one, tell the people who run it.
